Just got done waxing the bow strings, hoping to put one in the bag from about 60 yards.  that's my goal at least.

Andy,

I have plenty on my property. So, come over anytime........On 2nd thought, technically the neighbors are within 150 yds.

So, never mind......... ;)

Daddy will eat good this summer ladies!

I wonder what #85 does to a cotton tail?  Never shot one with anything above #80, but I can tell you those menacing creatures need to only bee taken with the highest weight bow you can pull, plus 20lbs...  Terrifying critters they are...

I know that 72 pounds will blow through a Ground Squirrel so that there is only fur on the tip and some guts on the tips of the Vanes.  Menacing beasts that they are, they still don't instill the fear that a fully grown Cottontail does in me.

I need to start planning for this one, we may have to pack in like last year. Hard to find a better trophy that a mature cottontail in the back country. Good eats for sure!

I bet there are some nice ones in that wash/creek below the grassy spot you saw bucks 5 years ago but never went back (for who knows why)...got it??   :smiley-ziplip:   I'm thinking it's time to go back.

Going out on the 4th to stick my first with the new bow. Secured some good private land close to home.
