Ken and I decided to make a day two day trip around So Cal for predators. I just received my new custom built 6mmx47 rifle with a Nightforce 3.5-15x50 scope. I am really impressed with the combination and the caliber (as Heath certainly knows) works very well for predators. We ended up with four coyotes and two cats. We have been passing on cats for a while and even on this trip decided to pass but I couldn't resist the two I took. Sadly one of the coyotes Ken killed was really full of mange. We also saw a coyote standing by the road that didn't have a single hair on it and was almost totally black. I shot two coyotes that had busted us and were running with the new scope, the reticle is the NP2-DD and has a floating center dot with two tapered horizontal lines that don't come all the way to the dot and one lower vertical tapered line that also doesn't touch the dot. This to me is the perfect reticle for predators (or other game for that matter). It is very fast and much easier on running animals. Here are a few pics.
