Chris, save me a seat in the blind!

Wow! Coming over to the boom boom room.

As for me, maybe. Public land birds are hard enough as it is, probably the old 870 unless I get a few early in the season.

The few scouting trips I've made so far haven't been too productive, The birds are still flocked up and now it's been raining for 4 days straight! Unless something changes, I'll be packing the 20 gauge to start the season, then finish off the year with the bow.

Gobble gobble, you know I'm in. Not sure how much time I'll get this year though.

Had a fun day, tough for us...birds were real soft on the calls, not aggressive at all yet. Hopefully everybody skewered a few.

Saterday, started good with no rain and light wind. Lots of gobbleing off the roost then silent on the ground. Soft spaced out calling brought a group in silent about 8:00, the jakes loved the set up and stutted out at 35-40 yards then in came the gobblers running the jakes off. The hens stayed out pretty far and pulled the big guys away, a jake thought he was going to take advantage and strutted in to 35 resulting in a missed shot from our blind. Away they went. 3 dekes two jakes and a breeding hen could only get them to 35. Great day and a pretty sweet show led to a large consumption of beer and food during the storm. This morning still raining.
