Her 1st lic? Heck I figured you had her in the field and just burned her out by the time she was 12, and was just getting back into it. ;) That's awesome!

I love seeing the little ones, whether girls or boys out there learning and preparing to carry on the traditions of our fathers and grandfathers. It gives me hope. My little ones are both boys, but my niece is out there with us all the time too, and she will put a hurting on anyone who tries to tell her that girls shouldn't act so rough.

I didn't spend a lot of time looking at this thread until my daughter graduated from HS last night. She went along on hunts starting at 4 and did a lot of fishing. She will clean birds and eat all types of game. She's also raised a bunch of 4H and FFA animals knowing what the end result will be but has never had an interest in getting a hunting license or pulling the trigger. Maybe like Trig's daughter she will have an interest when she's older.

Jeff,

I think all you can really do is introduce them to it..........There's a lot of life changes..........In Stefanie's case, her boyfriend had just got into hunting. And that was enough for her to give it a try herself.........She now wants a .243 to deer hunt........ :2:

I can't agree more. I have two little girls myself and they have been introduced to hunting with thier old man. Neither one of them showed any interest. Can't force it on them and I wouldn't even go down that road. Maybe one day they will change their mind.
