Nice day. Catch a few carp. Have nice breakfast and then teach the ground squirrels how to do back flips with the 17HMR. :smiley_rotflmao:

Saw a lot during the turkey season.......Haven't seen one since the finish........Maybe, it's just the higher grass or they're having babies. I know they're thick around my house, but only late at night.......... :smiley-shhh:

Steve if you really want some Carp I'll run by Henshaw the morning of the barbecue and shoot a bunch for you and hand deliver em too you. They might have a hole in em but they still eat good. :smiley-ziplip:

Thanks Wade but I bought a bunch of Ahi that I'm going to smoke with what ever trout my sons catch in the Sierra's next week. I have a feeling they'll keep a bunch. Besides, carp is best smoked and they have to get a minimum of 8 hours of brine or I would do it.

Anyone else think its a coincidence that you can rearrange the middle two letters in CARP to spell something else? :)

.17 HMR was pretty much made for one thing - killing squirrels. I've had mine for 7-8 years and I'm just amazed by that gun constantly. The only downside to it is wind

I've shot the 'green stuff' and my rifle (Browning T-Bolt) liked it. Had some pretty good down range performance on squirrels....
