Son's First Green & First Band!

My son, Ryan, and I had dismal luck in the sweat line, drawing second from last. Well, we made the most of it, harvesting a fist full of birds including Ryan's first and second greenheads -- and get this, his first band. I was blessed once again with more quality time in the field with my son -- something to reflect upon on this day of Thanksgiving. :cross-fingers:

judging by the surrounding tules and how choked up the second picture is, i'd say you were in 514-4. that's an awesome trophy, especially for wister :cross-fingers:

btw...that drake he is holding in his left hand is HUGE!!!!!!!

We just reported the band -- the mallard was banded in California in summer of 2006.

Congrats on a memorable hunt. It is a great feeling when you see the look on kids faces when they bag a bird, much less a banded one... :cross-fingers:
