I thought I was in the A Zone opener......Hot right off the bat in the morning and I actually had to get out of the truck to bag a few.......Hard work and a tough time throwing them into the truck, but I gutted it out....... :lol:
 
 
Ended up with 5.....3 with the pellet gun, 2 with the .17.....Squirrels took a beating too......... :smiley-thumbs-up-aqua:

It took me a couple of swings to get that big one in the truck, but lifting weights has really helped.... :smiley-weighlifter: .... :smiley-newlaugh-yellow:

MCC & private..............Best public land is out in the IV. With temps near 120, I'm guessing they're pretty nocturnal though.

The bunnies in the IV are full of worms this time of year..... To dam hot!

Only time we would shoot them during the summer is when a farmer needed to thin the herd! Those lil bastards can mow down a crop!

I'm going to have to switch to the Rage with the 2 in cutting area.  Holy crap, followed two blood trails right back to the brush pile and the third drug his guts 30 yards back to a hole.  Shooting the VPA small gamers and actually cracked one of the tines off.  I have some of the ones with the little springs on them and may give them a try tomorrow morning.  Deb harvested one with her first shot and never fired another arrow.  Of course we only hunted for 20 minutes because dinner was pretty good at the Irish Pub.
