My GF took these pics while at Pillsberry "area" in the mendo national forest. I really liked it so I figured I would post it for you guys and gals. We also walked up on a Bald Eagle!!!!!!! She only had a small "just incase" digital camera with her , so the zoom sucks on the damn thing and the pics did not come out too well.

Cool pics Nik.
I think I've only seen 1 Bald Eagle up there over the years. I love to watch the Osprey catch fish out of the lake...I've seen some awesome catches.

Thanks guys, the pic came out decent, but I would have loved if my GF had her photography equipment with her and took some REAL COOL shots..... If anyone wants to know what kind of equipment she has, i have no clue. I just call it "big camera and bipod" versus, "small camera and no bipod"....

Deerslam, you are right, its amazing watching ALL bird of prey swoop down for a meal! Spotting a bald eagle at such close range was REALLY neat though. It was the first time my GF krista has seen one in the wild so she was all sorts of excited for the remainder of the day.
