Hmmm...

Rabbits and grouse are targets of opportunity when pursuing large mammals for grown ups. Good training for the youngsters though.

Not sure if it deserves the ridicule that duck shooting does though. At least they are small mammals.

Pellet gun zone?? What is it next to that it is a pellet zone?
Thats what we did when we hunted in neighborhood parks back in the day...........maybe Stevo is keeping the tradition alive.

Paul,

Same area we can't shoot shotguns for turkeys (people don't like the boom boom).......Bows would be ok.......I'm just to lazy to chase the arrows....... :smiley-wnk-yellow:

Moto,

You don't eat them?.........Try fileting them........Cut near the rump crosswise......Then pull the skin to the head......The little backstrap will be right on top. Cut along backbone and pull out strap.....Then cut around back legs......Pure white meat and you never touch the guts.

They are great eating........Cook like chicken strips deep fried or pan fried with butter and garlic.

ps.......I had a terrible time trying to sight that gun in too.......I finally changed scopes to an older Redfield......It's been pretty much dead on since. The Savage Mod 93 .17 HMR goes without saying........It is flat out deadly!

A bunny was the only thing this bow ever killed.... Then I ran the bow over with the truck the next day
