We just got back from four day hunt in NM. Second day out my friend greg got huge cow at 150 yards. Mine came on last day of hunt. We first spotted them at about 300 yards but they were heading up hill into the brush/trees. I got out with guide, when we saw
them again he ranged them at 460 and told me to let it fly. Put her down in her tracks. She never took a step and, I suspect another breath. When we dressed her her lungs were a pile of unrecognizable mush. Barnes 180 gn. TSX out of my Winchester 300 winmag. worked perfect. I ran into Yort while I was there. I think they had 8 in their group and the last I heard they had 7 tagged out.
