Ya, kind of sad. Use to be lots of good guys and info here but it seems most guys have moved on. Some on other forums and some just disappeared. For one Paulc can't be found. Lots of guys are now over on SCH or Rokslide, I for one like to keep all options open.

It was 115 up where I went Saturday. When it hit 108 around 12:00 I called it and hiked back out to the truck. Seen 5 bucks and 2 bears. Two other hunters pushed the bachelor group so I elected not to chase. Going back Thursday or Friday.

If at first you don't succeed, keep on sucking until you do. Go stick one.

Gundog- statistically I am an above average killer. A zone archery public land hunting is the hardest hunting there is- hands down period!
I am hoping to notch a tag tomorrow- just got to find one that wants to play

I'm pulling for you. public land hunting of any kind is a crapshoot in Ca.

Update 2: 5 bucks spotted and no stall attempts due to their location. All but 1 was hard horn, warmed up a little to 94.

Going way north tomorrow to try some road hunting to save my feet a day. Suppose to be 99.

I just can't get into hunting in that kind of heat. Unless like Hatch, it's from the truck with a/c cranking.

Nothing worse than thinking you’re going to take it easy and road hunt only to ask “wonder what’s over that hill” did that a few times and was able to find this guy. Glasses up some other bucks too- but stalked him only to have him turn into a ghostA77331A2-8362-4E11-A58D-88EC54983300.jpeg

sadly- my ol hunting jeep AC don’t work. Windows down for me.

That's fake, just ask hatch.

Seriously hope you stick that dude. This is a very hot year in the foothills, and now X8, and X6b are nearly all burnt. Not too promising so far and your lack of velvet is disturbing.
