Road hunter extraordinaire
My oldest son, Hunter, got his first hog a few weeks ago and what a hog it was! I was given access to hunt a mandarin ranch that's been having hog problems and decided to go check it out. We weren't there more than 30 minutes and spotted this boar munching on mandarins at the edge of the orchard. Hunter got a shot off with the old 30/30 but hit it a little far back and it took off running into the orchard. It took 2 hours of searching and a range of emotions but we kept at it, finally found it and finished the job. My youngest son, Dillon, was with us too and this was his first real hunting experience with us which made it more special. It was a great learning moment for both my boys that if you don't give up and stay persistent you can accomplish anything you set your mind too. My freezer is full but more importantly my heart is too. Good job Hunter! I'm proud of you, buddy!
