I don't see many bucks in CA, so when I do I tend to shoot and shoot quickly. This guy was just about the enter the timber but stopped for one last bite of green. 211 yards straight downhill and I knew he was good, but didn't know he was one of my best high country bucks.

Great buck, congrats.

Got any more pics of his right side

I do, but think what you're seeing is velvet pealing off. His back tines are covered in velvet, which looks pretty cool. Fork wise his backs are weak and 3-4" deep. Good fronts, eye guards, mass, just happy to have seen a buck and make it happen.
