On Adak I was hoping to get a Pacific Eider but the sea was too wild to paddle past the waves. Last year we went to St. Paul Island in search of King Eiders. My friend had a golden opportunity and missed 3 shots at a flock 15 yards out and right on the deck. He went back there this January but with a guide and hit perfect weather. Maybe next season I'll get one.
