Just in 1.5 day trip

For me it was a pretty good trip. I managed 3 yellowtail in the 20 lbs. class, smallest came in at just under 20 lbs. The boat only got eight total along with seven white sea bass from 20 plus up to 35 lbs. We went out and loaded up on reds and lings with other rock fish to fill the bags. I stop rock fishing at four nice reds and one legal ling. The Fortune is headed to San Diego the 29th. they will be ported out of fishermans landing through the end of the tuna run. My friend got three of the seven WSB, two within 10 mins. of each other and the other about 30 mins. later. I did manage to snag some of his WSB. Nice of him. WE also hooked up three larges black sea bass. One kid go spooled on the biggest one.

I hate c bass... 3 trips for them last year and 2 this year so far and not a bite... leaving Sunday on a 2 day on the Dawn to try again. Freezer is plugged with RF though....

San Nick island. Keep the faith pop, my friend who caught the three had never caught any and he's been trying a long time. Same thing for a first trip ever kid and a 75 year guy.

I'm thinking the WSB don't like me. I've been fishing in the Pacific since about 1960 and I've never caught one, hooked one or even been on a boat when one was caught by someone else. If you want to catch one you probably don't want me on the boat. Almost like duck bands. Haven't got one of those yet either but at least I've been there when someone got one a couple times.

All sea bass and yellow tail caught on 1/4 oz. lead head or slidder. 40 lbs. Min top shot. Bait squid. I used 7-0 aki twist hooks. We had lots of current in The AM.
