@pitdog , don’t feel alone. I managed to find my way back too! Are all of you southerners doing okay? Up here, I lost a majority of my deer and quail ground to the fires this last couple of years.

Been loving the mountain life. Gold prospecting in the summer and I was hunting pretty hard until they made D14 a "premium" tag. Lots of mountain quail opportunities and the fishing was great this year.

Hey there Steve. I kinda stumbled on TOF again a while ago. Check in now and then. I lived in Running Springs for a couple years back in 2016. Visited Big Bear often, nice town. Retired recently and moved to Surprise AZ. Not missing Kalifornia…it’s not what it once was.
Here is a pic from the past! How’s ur son? Mine gave me some worries and gray hair along the way, but did it his way. He is an apprentice lineman now.

Hey Mapman, have you been my friend? Thanks for the pictures. Hard to believe they were that young back then only seems like a couple years ago. Trevor owns a company in the computer industry. He's developing websites and spends most of his time writing code. I'm trying to get him out of the house to go fishing, but he claims that he can't be away from the computer in case one of his websites goes down. I don't know if it's an excuse or if he's a workaholic. Lol

Yep, they grow up as fast as we grow older. Congrats on his owning a business. Computers and the virtual world have really changed the way we live, work, shop, interact with friends and family….the need to actually go out has diminished. It’s all at our fingertips! Encourage him to get out and go fishing with u. Does he live up the hill as well?

I did a little fishing in Miller Canyon at Silverwood Lake. We would drop down 138 From Crestline and walk in from the parking area at the bottom of the grade on the east end. Never fished at Big Bear. Hunted Quail off the 173 on the back side of Lake Arrowhead. Did pretty well sometimes. R u prospecting in or around Holcomb Valley area?

I’m liking Arizona. Found lots of opportunities for Dove and Quail, and some fishing in the local agricultural canals and small ponds. Heading back up to Beaver Utah to do some fishing with friends in early June.
