Is a bad day fishing better than a good day working?

I always wondered about that saying since I'm not an AVID fisherman.

Well, 2 days on the Salmon River last week I got to find out.

The river was pretty iced up and the fishing was slow.

One of our party of 6 caught a wild steelhead below Hammer Creek. That was the only fish landed the whole trip.

Nonetheless it was a fun expedition. Good food friends and scenery.

I would say yes. just seeing that awesome country, spending time with family and friends and catching that beautiful fish would make my day.

Does Raggity Ann have a cotton crotch????? Even though I'm retired, I still do lots of work around the house and for friends.

It kinda depends on what ya do for a livin'. I drove a tug boat for a living through the inner waters of south Louisiana. I often passed folks out fishing and on tours paying good money to see the country I was paid to work in. The picture of me and that lil cat fish in my avatar was taken at work. So I guess a bad day at work was when there was no fishing. :smiley-yellow:
