Finally after a few years of trying I finally made it happen during general season. We glassed up a group of does bedded up on a hillside out of the wind and then later in the morning watched this guy and a couple smaller bucks appear from below and start feeding at about 400 yards.

After a couple hours of watching him bedded down he finally got up to feed and we inched our way a bit closer due to the wind and not wanting to take a super long shot with those conditions. I eventually found a blowdown and got settled in, ranged at 278 yards and dropped him with one shot.

Definitely the biggest forkie I've ever seen, and a perfect first mulie for me. The freezer is now full and I can't wait until next year.IMG_1879.JPG

Way to stick with it. You put in your time and it paid dividends.
