You guys are killing me, I thought I was the only one that gave a shat about hunting these little trophys in July!

Bearclaw - just because the tire sticks to the fence doesn't make it a bike rack! I did a trial ride this morning (to run my dogs) with all that gear strapped to my bike, it's ready for tomorrow.

This is what we have done with a lemon chicken marinade. Delicious.

Do you guys quarter the little guys out? I can cook some mean chicken on the grill, but the last time I tried some back straps bone in, they turned out.... how shall we say.... like a chew toy. Maybe it is in the preparation.

If they are big enough I quarter them up for the pack out, but Sunday I had a great pack horse to carry mine! Just kidding Gab..

I break them down into hind quarters, front leg/ shoulder and the meat over the ribs, and the saddle (5 pieces). Leave all the "rabbit bacon" on the saddle and then I toss into a saltwater and ice pot and throw in the fridge for about 24 hours. That should flush out any of the last bit of blood and then freeze.

A vinegar/ oil and poultry seasoning maranade for a few hours and then on the grill is awesome! Otherwise fry in almond meal for about the healthiest fried meal you can make...
