I dont know about everyone else - each of these except (dont know) - is more or less important to me...

Because I am going for the Meat - I really enjoy the exercise - And now hunting with my son and other buddies - enjoy the nature and time to reflect - and any deer I shoot is a Trophy....

So trying to paint me in a corner on this question I didnt like.

Completed mine.......no sense in mentioning mountain lion management since that's out of their hands. However, I do believe it's time to get rid of the 2nd deer tag option in this state, as we issue far too many tags compared to the resource available.

Britlab, they've always known. But because 37 of 58 counties can veto proposed doe hunt s, they're not inclined to propose hunts year after year only to get smacked down.

No chit! Definitely one of the major issues. As well as Roy's comment about "2nd tags and issuing far too many tags compared to the resource available."

What about making harvest report cards mandatory so they actually have a clue as to how many deer are being killed in each zone?
Obviously there are a ton of concerns regarding how to best manage the deer in this state. But I would like to see DFG address any of them to get the ball rolling. Other western states are continually modifying their management plans each year. I can't speak for other counties but very little has been done in the last decade or more where I reside. I honestly believe that if managed more effectively, areas of our state could be as good as other top western states.
