I am debating getting rid of mine but have no idea about the current market. Anyone that could help let me know please and it will be greatly appreciated. I need cash but also (obviously) don't want to lose my arse on it...

You missed the panic, so its not so much of a sellers market now, but some bad legislation is pending so maybe not a bad idea. Other than that, they are fun blasters, so not so bad to keep one around. If its a complete rifle and priced correctly, you're way a head of the guys trying to unload all the lowers they bought in the panic Post it up in the B/S/T forum here and over on CalGuns - thousands of AR geeks over there.

The reality is that I would like to keep it around, but will rarely shoot it. My .40 and the eventual long tube benelli I will get are superior for anything self defense related, and I also have 1,200 rounds to go with it, and an Eotech on top.

I would really just like an idea what it should bring before I decide to sell it, but am about 90% I will off load it.

The ammo and eotech are a big plus (maybe get more if you sell separately)? AR value depends on the configuration. I'm no aficionado. Best to peruse CG and gunbroker and see what ones like yours are going for.

not really answering your question but it's kind of vague. what make/specs is your AR? was it a build or a factory gun? there are some major price differences depending on what you have. NiBx parts, match parts, kind of barrel. the difference in just a stock could vary in price by a couple hundred dollars.

honestly, i'd hang on to it bro... or use the cash to buy an 80% lower and do a build. you might not shoot it "a lot" but in my opinion, it's nice knowing it's there.

what kind of ammo do you have? (223/556, steel/brass case, what type of bullet) might be interested if you want to off load ammo.

It's worth about $200 with the ammo... not a sellers market right now... Ca is reversing most of the anti gun laws... I'll take it. Ed F

It's hard to tell from the pic but I'd guess you might get about $1200. The Panic was short lived... I have a few "gun nut" buddies and some that build those things in their free time. Send me a pic on my cell and all the specs, I'll let you know exactly what it's worth. I might even be interested.

5.56mm is going for about $500 per 1,000. Used Eotech in good shape, $400+

The AR is $1,000+/-

Any gun cases, ammo cans, mags, etc are extra.

Throw the whole deal on calguns and give a bundled price and you'll sell it fast

Everyone has a ton of lowers but whole rifles are not so oversupplied

Ok, I'll go $350 for the entire package...

You can buy a brand new Eotec in Hawaii for $400, can't imagine they would be more on the mainland. Which model is it? ($439 for the L3 at BassPro)
