Heard this morning that a fire started about 4:30am....origin not discovered yet and as of 7:00 Village not in danger...burned about 30 acres and was heading West but winds were at 30 mph......oddly enough it was raining (lightly) yesterday and couldnt even see the mtns this morning due to fog. But give us some warm weather and here come the fires. Hope they get a handle on it ASAP :turkey-gobblin:

Just called Skeet and his cell is off, which it almost never, inless he's on a fire. And I'm pretty sure that's his station's back yard.

Per IC - 100 + acres burning actively on the west side, potential for several hundred this afternoon. Fire in rugged inaccessible terrain. No immediate threat to Baldy village. Fixed wing loaded and waiting but still grounded due to turbulence.

Typical fire for this time of year in that area. Burning in some steep stuff. Too bad were all at mandatory refresher training all week
