Searched and found old forums, nothing recent so.....

Blackcloud is in sale at rogers 3" 3s $175/case AND $75 mail-in rebate. So In several months when that rebate finally comes in, that is $100/case for blackcloud.

For those of you who shoot and/or have shot blackcloud, what is your opinion on them?

I like BC in the 1-1/8oz 3" load. Heard a rumor that the new and improved BC is coming and that's why the current stuff is on sale. True? Dunno. Buy it while you can, because the 12/31 ammogeddon is nigh. I hate this state.

Yes, redesigned flight wad and it burns much cleaner.
Before you couldn't shoot BC out of a ported barrel. Unsafe and bad patterns. The new flight wad is safe for all choke types.

It's all I shoot. If you're only after ducks, the 3s and 4s are great.
2s are good on geese out to 50.

TBH if you're doing it right it doesn't matter what you have loaded in your gun.

TBH.....If you'll wait till they're inside 35 yds, anything will kill them...Which for many is not doable.... :smiley-wnk-yellow:

ps....Took a relative new shotgunner Euro shooting this morning....He shot 3 1/2 boxes of shells (12 gauge) for 17 birds....I shot 38 shells (16 gauge) for 20 birds....I wasn't a better shot (in fact, I sucked)....I just didn't shoot at 50 yard birds.

So I wanted to buy some 20 gauge shells for my girls for duck hunting so I ordered 2 cases with rebate it's $84 for the black cloud 3" shells.

Then I started looking for steel for dove,. Ridiculous prices...2 3/4" dove loads were more than I paid for the 3" duck loads.
Turner's will be raping many of us come Jan 1st...

I burned through a case of blackcloud and didnt really like them. Dirty and i would find those saturn pellets stuck in the skin and didnt penetrate. If i was going to buy some higher cost shells get the heavy metal. That stuff is awesome.

Steve...Your right about that, I wore my 11-87 out, not fixable...That gun shot so sweet and pointed great...I found my 28 and 410 kills them dead when in range....25 yds.
