Band-tailed pigeons

Anybody ever hunt band-tailed pigeons? Theses birds are native species and the season is short, December 17th thru the 25th. I’ll be knocking them down that week. Lots of fun. They spook really easily. Looking forward to the challenge.

So, two years in a row there were zero BTPs in site whatsoever. I suspect snow blew them out last year and rain washed them away in 2022. 2019 saw literally thousands of them. Crazy to see zero birds the following two years. It's a very short season and ended Christmas Day this past season. Guess I'll have to wait another year to test my luck.
