Last year was far better for the berries, and they’ll all be gone by next week in D3-5, where I hunt. But the acorn crop is huge this year in my area. And that’s what the bear was eating. Not sure where he was foraging, because there aren’t any oaks (trees or huckleberry oaks) where I was. I’m pretty sure I caught this guy heading to his bedding area.

My last animal I arrowed in CA.....finally got him back from my AZ taxidermist and have him in my AZ home.

Well north of 300 according to the butcher.....he was a big ol' P&Y class bruin from up around Susanville. Great way to leave the state! :)
