I'll be heading back out this thursday with a good buddy or two, we'll set up a few stands and see what happens.

We have made a few trips to Wy to fill meat tags. Last year we had 8 in the back of my truck. Good meat!

On the dfg site they say 1002 bears were taken this year...... around 700 less than normal. A couple more years like this and they will be getting real thick in some areas.

you live in a good state with great potential. I hunt and grab 2 deer tags in my home state every year, but still look forward to an outa state hunt/ vacation with good friends

Wow so much negativity Torwards the point systems in other states. I know it's not the cheapest thing to apply but I make priority. I enjoy hunting multiple states and taking a new journey every year. If you don't enjoy the adventure of it I can understand. Even though point creep is an issue...

The vortex razor hd is a great spotter. I would have gotten the razor 85, but I got a smoken deal on the Ziess so I went with that.

The "heat waves" you are referring to is called atmospheric conditions. On a warm day you will see them more, depending on the temp, especially at higher magnifications . If you were to glass on a cool morning you should not see any. I own a Ziess diascope 85mm , with a eye piece that go's up...

LOL,And thats the beauty of it. I to am buliding points for multiple species in several states, There will be some quality hunts in my future. That will make the investment well worth it! I do at least one out of state hunt each year on top of the local cali tags, if I don't draw, I grab an over...

I have a couple buddys that use retumbo with barnes TSX and TTSX bullets, I belive 180gr. They get 1/2" groups. They also use Federal Gold metal primers (GM215M)........they are hard to find!. I'm going to start working up a simalir load soon.From what I've seen and heard Retumbo is much better...

Very nice! I never turned up a band out of all the years I use to duck and goose hunt. I've had buddys in the same blind get lucky, but no luck for me.

Thats how much I got it for on gunbroker........I got lucky, seen it going for $50 a lb all day long. Awesome for my .300 weatherby too. Have a couple buddys that love it for their 300RUMS.
