    chirp...... chirp....... chirp.....

I drop in a couple of times a week, but haven’t had much to post. This isn’t the only forum that I belong to that has slowed way down.

    Just a quick question...

@pitdog , don’t feel alone. I managed to find my way back too! Are all of you southerners doing okay? Up here, I lost a majority of my deer and quail ground to the fires this last couple of years.

Which EyeGlass Frames have you found best for Hunting?

I know this is an older thread, but I just found it. I have been using Rudy Project Rydons with their full metal inserts. A little spendy, but with my using them for Driving, Bkiking, Work, Hunting, Fishing and Shooting Sports they have been worth every penny. Also being able to change the...

    Rick young bino harness

Resurrecting an old thread. I’ve been using them for several years now on a couple pair of binoculars and my Nikon DSLR with a 70-300 mm lens. The don’t bounce any more than any other strap system that I’ve used. Decent weight distribution, and the adjustment clip has not interfered with a...

    Some Questions 3 vs 3.5

The only reason that I have a 3-1/2” Browning Gold, is that the price was right and the weight of it does make for a much softer feeling when shooting 2-3/4” shells. Like most here, I have a tendency to let the birds get closer before taking the shot. That said, my first goose was taken with...

    Road issues and opening day

Ugh! Dealing with the Railroad? Almost as bad as the costal commission or state water boards. Sounds like they are driving sheet piles to excavate behind. Moving the road nay sound good, but there are a LOT of factors that come into play. With almost 20 years with CalTrans, I can attest...

15.5 inches of twisted freak down!

Depending on where, they may have a nice hint of grape and a touch of sesemia. Most of the ones I’ve gotten/eater were alfalfa and sage.

    Sleeping bags

Dragging up an older thread, From research, the temp rating on a bag is for comfortable sleep for 4hours at temp. I can attest to this, used Wiggy’s 0 degree bag on a snow camp with the Boy Scouts and woke up about 3:00 AM with a bit of a chill (8 degrees ambient). I lucked into a US GI sleep...

    father / daughter

Some observations from an instructor who's worked with youth, Boy Scouts, and Ladies; 1. The shotgun fit is critical, too long or too short and she’ll beat herself up with it. 2. Gas guns will soak up recoil better than single shots or pumps. I don’t have any experience with the Benelli system...

    Archery Opener

Good Luck! I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you have when I get back from Boy Scout Camp by Fort Brag. Haven’t even thought about “B” zone much yet.

Remember Trig? Jake's event 6/22 sign up now!

Wishing I knew anyone down there. Great programs for the youngsters, I’m involved with the Redding Chaapter Jakes events.

    Results are up.

Jr. and I ended up with the ever popular “B” tags. Maybe I can convince the Boy Scout Troop to do some hikes and backpacking trips over on the West side so I can use them for A different type of scouting.
