The birds in NC cooperated this year. I was getting a little worried last season when I only heard gobbles one morning out of six. They were fired up this year (same dates I hunted last year). Like last season this trip was mainly dedicated to planting trees and other work on our property but I was able to sneak in two full days of hunting and got it done early on day three. First turkey off my property and first Eastern as well.

Good looking bird, what area of NC?  Folks are in Clyde.

Give me a bow, a topo and two weeks and I guarantee I kill two weeks!

Just like hunting spots posted online, stupidity is searchable forever.

Our land is in the mountains, Ashe County. About 2 hours NW of Charlotte, 40 minutes North of Boone (Appalachian State University).
