Definite ethics violations as well

This is what I sent.

Good evening

I’m writing you folks in regards to your animal rights activist Assistant City Attorney Polly Samuels McClean and her husband being arrested for felony theft.

I am an archery hunter myself and travel to several states every year pursuing what I love to do. Although I have not hunted Utah yet, I am considering it in the near future.

I find it totally unacceptable that anyone steals another’s property. It appears as if your city attorney and her husband have stolen trail cameras and tree stands from many law abiding hunters.

I am a retired police chief from a small city similar to yours after 31 years of service. I know my city council would promptly terminate any city employee for theft.

I’m sure you will do the same..

Regards.

Tom Bradford

Felony arrest for theft sounds like a crime of 'moral turpitude'.  That means she will be asking if you want fries with your burger at McDonalds.

Goodbye bar card.

The plot thickens! I hate thieves.
Any day in the outdoors is a damn good day.

Felonies ain't what they used to be, at least in California.  Caught two burglars/vandals/tweakers last year in Big Bear.  They were convicted on three felony counts, each.  That is a combined six felony convictions on this single incident.  One was out in six months, the other in eight months.

Dad,

Did you show up at court?  Did you speak with the judge?  Direct involvement may have helped.  DA's don't care, just a conviction.

I got subpoenaed three times as a witness and each time the trial was postponed.  Both perps finally copped felony pleas with no involvement or input from me, other than my request to the DA for a public hanging.  That fell upon deaf ears.  One of these clowns already had an outstanding drug warrant when we caught him, and there was a new felony drug charge on my incident (cooking ###### in my cabin, possession with intent to sell), plus a misdemeanor pot charge for the crap in his car, but the DA never filed that one.  The felony drug charge got dismissed (as far as i can tell) because the ###### agreed to go to rehab.  The guy who was with me when we caught these two in the cabin saw the arresting deputy a few weeks ago at a defensive pistol match and talked with him about the case.  The cop's response was along the lines of "That's how the system works these days."  I hate this state.

Complete nonsense, a neighbor caught a guy walking away from his house with a trash can full of stolen items. Same suspect was wanted for other burglaries and had priors. Never went to trial, the guy got 4.5 months in jail on a plea deal!

Unfortunately this is about a public employee of power who is also a antihunter activist that should be fired.

Agree.  We caught them in the cabin, with my some of my stuff in their car.  This was not a penny ante deal, the total loss looks like $75K, plus the drug felonies, plus the warrant on priors.  And, yet, they are out and walking around.
