Saw some critters yesterday morning up here in the White Mountains.......some the first I've ever seen; the Mexican Gray Wolf!  Three of them actually, all collared.  Saw some elk too, but the wolves were the highlight.

Nice!

Isn’t that wolf the highly endangered one?

Great pix....My buddy (outfitter) in New Mexico says they're not little Mexican gray wolves....Big problem, for deer & elk.

Yes....they're Mexican Gray Wolves which are endangered.  Only 143 living in the wild....the smallest species (they say).  The largest male was about the size of a smaller German Sheppard.

Mexican gray's are what they are trying to replant in CO.  Most sportsman are against it, environmentalist for it...

Cool pics!

That's so cool Roy!

I had the opportunity to hunt the San Carlos about 13-14 years ago on a late elk hunt.  We were on out north of Point of Pines but south of the WMAT.  We would occasionally hear wolves howling out in the hills in the evening.  Such a cool thing to hear!!
