Allot of hunts so I'll keep this short and sweet. 3 Rio's from CA. 1 Merriam's from AZ.

California birds were hard this season! Acting like already pressured birds even on opening weekend. Took some creativity to bag birds, sitting 80 yards from the dekes, right where the bird hung up the day before... bird thankfully repeated the process. Lying prone, behind a 5ft hill in the middle of a field... bird got curious and provided a 10ft shot, etc. Bagged my best Rio by far this season, boy had some serious hooks!

Arizona's a cool place! And where I'm turkey hunting require's burning some serious boot leather, but makes a successful hunt so much more rewarding. Little lesson I almost learned the hard way is if scaling down a 500 ft canyon requires sliding down a sheer rock face... you done f'ed up son! Spent the better part of a day down in there and was pretty lucky to find a climbable rock face 2 hrs before dark. But hey.... there were turkeys down there!

Just a couple pics from the hunts

Well done!

Cush was the father of Nimrod, who grew to be a mighty warrior on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; that is why it is said,"like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD." ....................... -Genesis 10:8-9
