That proposal has been talked about before.... nothing new. Sure would benefit Riverside County but would ###### all over Imperial county... just my opinion. Elmore’s was for the north end lake also if I remember right...... hmmmm wonder what ther angle was.

Sea to sea would work and I believe a Mexican businessman said he would float part of the bill.... he wanted to aqua farm the laguna salada or something like that.

It’s more wasted money spent on studies while nothing gets done... it’s horse ######.

STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN! DON'T JUST TALK THE TALK....DO SOMETHING!

Interesting graphics about the rate of withdrawal of the sea....stopped last week at a couple of the spots from the good ole days of boating the north end, and the water was a long long way from where it used to be.

So they're proposing making a 4,200-acre lake within the Salton Sea?  The sea is about 219,648 acres (343.2 sq miles).  4,200 acres (a little over 6 1/2 sq miles) is not quite 2% of the Salton Sea's acreage.  Doesn't seem like that would be much in comparison to the total of the sea.

Old news except they are proposing an even smaller "good lake". Problem that remains is this all revolves around public money and there isn't any.

Maybe they can build a channel and Trump will get Mexico to pay for it .... MSSGA!

"One final paragraph of advice: do not burn yourselves out. Be as I am - a reluctant enthusiast....a part-time crusader, a half-hearted fanatic. Save the other half of yourselves and your lives for pleasure and adventure. It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it's still here. So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, the lovely, mysterious, and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much; I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those desk-bound men and women with their hearts in a safe deposit box, and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this; You will outlive the bastards."
