110 grain ttsx is money. Found him in some thick junipers and after a couple second Mexican stand off he took it in the neck.

great buck sir, congrats!!!

 

God forbid i'm far from the road to pack a buck out but i've heard some peeps say to point horns downward so that some other hunter won't shoot you. Is that about right or just preference?

He wasn't near the road at all. I was pretty confident there weren't any other people in the area I was at. I forgot my cheap vinyl hunter orange vest to drape over the antlers while packing him out. Get them at Walmart for a couple dollars. There are some morons out there so it's a good idea.
