Had to go to Bass Pro today and I was looking at boots their selection is pretty much crap but they had some Under Armor boots that looked decent. I need some new boots after my Achilles injury last year my opposite foot is starting to hurt and the only thing that helps is a stiffer shoe. I would love to try on some Lowas Kentrecks or other reputable brand but don't know where to find a pair to try on.

Try Lowas.  You can always return them.

Ditto the Lowa Tibets!  Love them for all outdoors use 'cept ranch work now.

I found some  to try on at REI after going to Sportsmans and trying several different brands there.

I tried them with liners & winter wool socks and lighter socks,1/2 size up fit me better.

Took a tip from Paul & found them on e-bay for $200 new in box, someone had bought wrong size....

I found the UA to be pretty narrow.
Fins for breakfast, Feathers for lunch and Fur for dinner. A well balanced diet...

Had a pair of ridge reapers. They squeeked so bad I had to retire them. Best boot I have tried are the Salomons Quest 4d 2 Gtx.

Where did yours fall apart?  I've had mine for 3 solid years with no issues so far.

Just curious so I know what to look for.

Just a thought... Under Armour pulled their endorsement support from that guy who quite successfully speared a Black Bear and captured the whole thing on film and also with a GoPro on the Spear itself. Soo... as a hunter... you *may* want to consider not supporting that company financially.
