First, I'm glad hatch going to pull through...pinchi spiders..

ok, so after last years D12 hunt I realized I need some binos that I can actually see if the darn deer has horns or not.. I could see a spike but not sure if a fork was there.. what do you guys recommend, remember our hunting grounds are vast and sometimes flat that go for miles.. thanks

I'm bidding on some Swarovski's right now........We're up to 11 hundski........ :smiley-wnk-yellow:

I looked thru three different kinds of glass last week......All 10x42's......Leica's, Zeiss, Swaro's........To be honest, it seemed the Zeiss were the brightest.......I have lower grade Vortex' now (Diamondback).......Like night and day looking thru great glass.

Give me a bow, a topo and two weeks and I guarantee I kill two weeks!

Josh (JNDEER) did a full in depth report a few months back. Search bino and it should come up.

That might be the link ilovesprig provided. I didn't click it.

A co-worked asked why I wanted to kill a deer. I said "because they won't stay on the BBQ if I don't kill them first"

Thanks.... Yes, that is the link. Give it a good read and ask me any question you may have.... Seems your quest for change was the same as mine, lol

But... Do you use a spotter? Or hunt in a manner that you could use a spotter to see a fork before a shot?

Purchase the very best optics you can afford. I saved up until I could get a pair of 10X42 Swarovski binoculars.

I hunt with one other dude but he is about 200-300yds away most of the time, I have him  on radio but like last year I had a buck lined up but couldn't see a fork and by the time my buddy came around another hunter took a shot at it from the south and then the buck was full speed ran by my buddy he saw forks, he took a shot but missed.. I will start saving some cash and reading up on the post

ilovespring... is it the pair that has about 7hrs left on ebay?? them things are nice.. I just looked it up... on ebay if everyone would just bet at the last 30 secs or so stuff would sell much cheaper.. I got some '66 wagoner dog dish hubcaps for $27.00 bucks when others have paid 325.  I never bid because then the other person will bid back and then the bidding war begins.. just my trick I use.. right now I think I paid like 150 bucks for my Nikons I have.. but its time to upgrade .. just like when I got rid of my old zebco fishing real and got me a shimano ;-)

Better put automatic bid on or someone else will get it.
