Anyone ever do it? Thinking about taking my dad for his 50th b-day. Just curious if anyone had any advice or suggestions?

Kid Creole might have some info for ya.

That's looks sweet quack...I'm thinking about it too. If all goes well I'll be starting a new job soon so I won't be able to go this year but next year I'll be off probation with vacation to use. Let us know how it goes

Had the TOF Spring Snow goose shoot a few years back in N.W. MO.

Will NEVER target snows in CA again....... totally spoiled us.

Jon Eaton is the head dude. Has a few dates in early March still available due to a couple of cancellations.

TOF: Home to people that ACTUALLY hunt, fish and enjoy the great outdoors.

2 years ago I went to SD.  It was a blast. I targeted just blues but with 9 guns blazing it's hard to know for sure if you really shot it or someone else did.

Guys a word of warning, don't set your expectations too high. There will be days where you smoke'm and days where you might only get a couple birds.

The Midwest snows are hunted 8.5 months a year so the spring snows are very weary

our guide told us the same thing steph. He said we should at least do 3-4 days. he also told us to expect on traveling up to 100 miles per day. good thing we purchased rental insurance on the minivan.

James, consider spending the extra coin for a 4x4 truck or SUV, typically spring snow geese, mud, snow and ice go together.

Be prepared for some very cold weather, it ain't the IV

Also be ready for the shock of how hospitable people are back there and how pro hunting the majority of people are

We were prepared for freezing weather in S. Dakota in mid-March. By late morning we were stripping down to our underwear. Shooting barefoot and in boxers. I thought if we were having record highs in S. Dakota, then SoCal must pushing 100*.....wrong !...it snowed down to low elevations in San Diego mountains.

The last time I hunted in SD it was snowing so hard that you couldn't wait to retrieve bird, they would be covered by snow in minutes.
