Im new to the forum... Here's our line up my GF samantha and two buddies ended up with 39 WW 1 Morning a Pigeon and 4 Eurasians opening day. We also pulled nine catfish out of the river (sam) holding up a couple of her fish. The last couple pics are of a scouting trip sam and I made down to Blythe to look for dove the week before and we found a field holding some pigeons found the landowner and got permission to shoot the field and ended up doing pretty well 53 Pigeons all together! And a nice picture of a sunset Sept 1 in blythe.

nice shootin
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.

We eat the pigeons... Technically they are rock dove and they basically eat the same stuff the dove do. Now don't get me wrong if one of em looks like a greasy city pigeon that has been livin on McDonald"s fries he's gettin tossed but for the most part they are no different than the dove. I just carefully examine the meat out of the 53 I tossed four of them cuz they had hard spots in the breast meat or it looked like they had some previous wounds (we see that in ducks alot but less infection because of the steel). Anyhow to each their own, it has never bothered me and they taste just and good or bad as the dove depending on how you cook them hehe...

And ya Sam is great she really loves hunting and fishing, she can't wait for the duck season to open we both sent our season long applications and are eagerly waiting for some draws, I just introduced her to hunting slowly brought her to wister a few times and kept her entertained took her to the shooting range with a 20 ga benelli m1 S90 with ultra light rounds got her to like shooting, then I made it very clear that during hunting season I will be gone for most of the 3 months during duck season and that hunting was there before here and it will be there after her. She got the point that its the most important thing in my life and it would be very beneficial for her to be a part of it. She has a few good hunts under her belt, we've shot geese at hazard she shot her first drake sprig and gadwall In the Y15's she shot her first two elusive Mallards last year and she almost got her limit of dove before me this year!! She shoots her 12 gauge silver hunter and wants a 3 1/2 inch gun but I tell her she doesn't need it. She even almost bought a 700 dollar hoyt bow this year because Anthony at Orange County Archery let her shoot one hehe... Anyhow her next big thing is she want a deer (we went and did some scouting yesterday) and for that matter she want to go to colorado and shoot an elk but it'll take me a while to be able to do something like that... Anyhow some girls will just never overcome that first step but she turned out great, shoot she even cleans birds for me when I come home and eats everything we shoot... sooo yes definitely a keeper, and we are looking forward to meeting and hunting with you guys out there this year
